Software Engineering Team Lead

We looking for a Python Engineer with strong REST API and AWS experience to lead a team of Data and Distribution. Our client is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. 

Our new Lead should be open to working from our client's Tri-City office one day per week or visiting the office once a month for a few days.

Your main responsibilities for this position will be:

• Analyzing, designing, coding, and building - crafting front-end and backend components to fit the business requirements.
• Being a Leader and Mentor for the other team members.
• Contributing towards code reviews, bug/issue triage, and documentation.
• Developing scalable, reusable software components in line with architectural standards.
• Implementing automated test–unit and integration tests for continuous integration and maintenance.
• Solving problems and application support issues.
• Working closely with Product Management and key stakeholders to prioritize multiple requirements at a time.
• Be responsible for technical analysis and producing documentation.

• 8+ years of software development practice.
• Willingness to work from the Tri-city office.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Expertise in Python (Ideally on Linux/AWS Lambda Containers).
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs. 
• Good database and SQL experience (Ideally some Lakehouse exposure). 
• Practice with AWS Components (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SNS, SQS). 

It would be nice if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
