Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager you will be instrumental to the success of our engineering teams:

• Manage software and quality engineers in a matrixed product engineering organisation, across empowered squads
• Technical stewardship of one or more of the product mission teams
• Ensure your direct reports are motivated, happy and engaged to achieve high performance
• Provide engineering support and guidance to mission Product Managers, Product Owners and squad tech leads
• Work with our Chapter Leads and Architecture function, to ensure your squads deliver the highest standards of technical design and implementation and that our platform is operationally excellent
• Help improve our hiring and recruitment processes
• Identify and solve engineering-wide challenges as they appear
• Ensure the security of our systems and working practice

• Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of modern software development
• Excellent understanding of one or more of our tech stack mentioned below plus Docker
• Experience building and designing scalable and performant systems, and making significant contributions to the wider engineering goals of the company
