We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer IoT in Crop Science IT division!

As a Senior Software Engineer IoT, you will be a part of Bayer's Crop Science global Fruits and Vegetables Business (Horticulture). You will work on implementing our open agronomic platform product called 'HortiView', linking together data and services from an eco-system of vendors for the benefit of farmers in the fruits and vegetable space.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take responsibility for the IoT hub of our platform HortiView. Enhance the IoT hub to integrate new vendors and their IoT infrastructure via a connector framework. Ensure proper regular data integration. Ensure data quality and data normalization. Implement the IoT hub so that HortiView can share the IoT data within the platform and its eco-system of users.
• Implement and enhance our general software architecture and services.
• Work with our product managers.
• Join and coordinate software development activities together with our internal teams and external partners.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Education in computer science or similar. Minimum Bachelor grade.
• Full stack software development experience - minimum 5 years.
• IoT architectures and frameworks.
• Agile software development methodologies.
• Very good knowledge of backend development with the .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NETCore, .NET Core).
• Very good knowledge of frontend development, JavaScript/TypeScript, preferred React, Angular possible.
• Container framework e.g. Docker and infrastructure as code - Terraform.
• Azure infrastructure e.g. Azure functions.
• Azure DevOps.
• GraphQL.
• Work with modern development environments e.g. Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio.
• You already worked within the development of microservices and event-based architectures.
• Micro-Frontend-Technologies and frameworks e.g. Webpack module federation.
