Allegro Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Allegro Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in delivering software solutions within the energy trading sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stakeholders from various teams including traders, business managers, and IT professionals to drive the development of high-quality, scalable solutions within Allegro for the Power/Gas Trading domain.

Location:

• Initially, the project will require occasional onsite visits in Essen, followed by remote work for the remainder of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed requirements analysis for new and existing software projects in the energy trading sector.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, business managers, and IT teams, to gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Develop clear, concise business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
• Work closely with the software development team to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Consult on the development and implementation of testing strategies to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business users and technical teams.
• Participate in project planning, review meetings, and provide regular progress updates.
• Consult the Product Owner in managing and prioritizing the product backlog.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in the ETRM industry, with a solid understanding of projects in the Power/Gas Trading domain and European Markets.
• Proven experience in customization and integration with Allegro software.
• Expertise in functional requirements gathering and documentation.
• Ability to design Allegro-based functional prototypes and model business flows within Allegro.
• In-depth knowledge of E2E data flow scenarios in Allegro, including integration with external applications like Trayport, Exxeta, etc.
• Strong functional knowledge of the Trade Lifecycle, Trade Valuations, Market Data, PnL Reporting, and Market Reports.
• Ability to conduct design elicitation with business users and finalize functional design in Allegro.
• Experience in documenting functional design, reference data mapping, and high-level testing scenarios.
• Design walkthroughs to the technical team to ensure alignment between technical design and business requirements.
• Act as the interface between technical and business-oriented stakeholders.
• Knowledge of reference data design and setup in Allegro.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL and experience creating automated reference data setup scripts for Allegro.
• Experience creating Functional test catalogs and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Involvement in solution design and defining solution architectures.
• Responsible for leading the functional track of the project.
• Experience implementing and configuring Allegro Horizon.
• Proficiency in using business analysis tools such as Azure, JIRA, and Confluence.
