Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and data requirements.
- Analyze business processes to identify critical data elements for modeling.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and potential modeling challenges.
- Develop conceptual data models capturing high-level business entities, attributes, and relationships.
- Create data models using Raw Data Vault and Business Data Vault methodologies, detailing business components such as hubs, satellites, and links.
- Implement the Data Vault model in Snowflake using DBT to automate processes.
- Build automated loading processes and patterns to minimize development expenses and operational costs.
- Apply expertise in dimensional modeling and design patterns.
- Lead and manage data transformation projects, demonstrating strong experience in managing end-to-end DBT workflows.
- Guide the data engineering team in designing, building, and maintaining Data Lakes on Snowflake using DBT.
- Analyze and interpret data from the Snowflake data warehouse to identify key trends and insights.
- Document work processes and maintain clear documentation for future reference.
- Apply best practices for dimensional and fact modeling to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Effectively communicate complex data modeling and design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in Data Vault 2.0, dimensional modeling, and design patterns.
- Proven experience in designing and developing Raw and Business data models, detailing business components such as hubs, satellites, and links.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and experience designing models on this platform.
- Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization best practices and principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Expertise with Data Vault 2.0 modeling in Snowflake using DBT for automation.
