Network Engineer L3 (HX/G)

We’re seeking a highly experienced Network L3 SME to join our Managed Network & Security team, which is responsible for the remote management of data center and customer site network & security infrastructure. Network L3 SME – Fortinet/Cisco Expert

Location: Poland Preferred/ Anywhere in Europe

Start Date: Immediate / 1 Week Notice

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise-level network and security infrastructures.
• Lead deployments, upgrades, patching, and testing for Cisco and Fortinet devices (LAN/WAN/WiFi/SD-WAN).
• Respond to incidents and alerts from monitoring systems and customer tickets.
• Propose, design, and implement solutions and changes across customer environments.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support high-severity production outages.
• Interact with customers, helpdesk, and service delivery managers for seamless incident/change coordination.
• Provide technical advisory for network migrations and security posture improvements.

✅ Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Networking (Cisco, Fortinet).
• Solid expertise in Routing & Switching, Firewalls (ASA, FortiGate), Wireless, and SD-WAN.
• Proficient in OSPF, BGP, VRRP, and advanced routing protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting using Wireshark and similar protocol analyzers.
• Experience in incident/change/problem management in an ITIL-structured environment.
• Ability to configure network/security devices with QoS and end-to-end security.
• Skilled in documentation (Word, Visio) and client-facing technical communication.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with F5 Load Balancers and F5 DNS.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi site survey interpretation and RF tuning.
• Awareness of vendor roadmaps and product evolution.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
• At least one relevant certification:
• Cisco CCNP (R&S / Security / Wireless)
• Fortinet NSE 6+
• F5 Certified (preferred)
• ITIL v3 knowledge is a plus.

• Fluent English (additional European languages such as Spanish, French, or Italian are a plus).
