Senior DevOps & SRE Engineer – B2B Cloud Transformation

Position Overview:

An international bank is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps & SRE Engineer to support a high-impact B2B transformation project in Warsaw. This role focuses on building and maintaining resilient cloud environments, optimizing microservices architectures, and ensuring seamless infrastructure support for the bank’s digital transformation. This hybrid position offers an opportunity to join a global team working at the forefront of financial technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and maintain scalable IaaC environments, primarily on AWS, using Pulumi with TypeScript.
• Microservices Architecture: Support platforms that leverage microservices architectures; containerize applications using Docker and manage clusters with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Configuration Management: Utilize Ansible (including Ansible Tower/AWX) for configuration management across various environments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git Actions to automate builds and deployments in cloud environments.
• Database Management: Manage and maintain databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB and DynamoDB.
• SRE & Monitoring: Take ownership of incident management, on-call rotations, and monitoring using Datadog, Splunk, PagerDuty, and Helm charts to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
• Serverless Frameworks: Design and implement serverless applications as needed, supporting the scalability of bank services.
• Tools and Collaboration: Use Git for version control, Jira for task management, and collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years in DevOps and SRE roles within financial services, tech, or related industries.
• Cloud Expertise: Proficient with at least one public cloud provider, preferably AWS, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining IaaC.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with Pulumi (TypeScript), Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Ansible (including Tower), and serverless frameworks.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python or TypeScript for scripting and automation.
• Database Knowledge: In-depth understanding of database administration for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud databases.
• SRE Experience: Demonstrated experience in on-call, monitoring, and incident management; familiarity with Datadog, Splunk, PagerDuty, and Helm charts.
• CI/CD Pipeline: Proficiency in building and automating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git Actions.
