Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our team, specializing in the Printer domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and hardware testing, with a deep understanding of Printer technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our printer products.
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Printer End to End functionalities.
- Perform functional, performance, regression, stress, and compatibility testing.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and report findings to the development team.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Printer Domain Expertise:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of printer technologies, including printing protocols (e.g., PCL, PostScript), imaging pipelines, and print engine control.
- Develop and execute tests to validate printer functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and analyze complex printer issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Test Automation:
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Automate repetitive test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, track, and report defects using bug tracking systems.
- Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Verify defect fixes and ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to understand product requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Communicate test results and defect reports clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and best practices.
- Identify and implement opportunities for test automation and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software and hardware testing, with a focus on embedded systems and the printer domain.
- Proven experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of hardware testing and debugging tools.
- Experience with embedded systems testing.
- Understanding of network protocols.
- Experience with different Operating systems like Linux, Windows and Mac.
