Our client is a leading Dutch company specializing in the distribution of food and non-food products to businesses, including restaurants, catering companies, and supermarkets.
We have set up a new data platform for the client and are creating a common data model as a foundation for their AI/DS use cases.
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and a state-of-the-art lakehouse within Google Cloud.
- Managing and optimizing robust data models.
- Developing efficient ELT processes using DBT and Fivetran to collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to generate valuable data-driven insights.
- Ensuring well-structured, accessible datasets that support the analytics team.
- Safeguarding data integrity by implementing solid validation processes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to data integration and processing.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest innovations in Google Cloud, data engineering, and analytics.

- At least 5 years of relevant experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or a similar role, preferably in a Google Cloud environment.
- A Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certificate or similar certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Expertise in data warehouses, ETL processes, and tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, DBT, SQL, and Python.
- Experience with data modeling, Data Vault, database design, and query optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Fluent in English (B2/C1/C2).
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into valuable data solutions.
