Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

As an Operation 2nd Line technical expert in this position you will be collaborating closely with Cloud Engineering (governance, security, architecture & design) team running projects & defining infrastructure’s future and the external company doing most of daily support operation work from India. You will focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, resource optimization (people's work, servers, licenses, etc.), improving support for other teams doing IT operation and development. 



Desirable experience and skills (you don't have to have them all, to be a good candidate):

• Extensive experience managing MS Azure environments, including Azure organizations, computing, storage, networking, and identity solutions.
• Hands-on experience in Azure PaaS services.
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server, experience with MSSQL and Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure automation.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Azure ARM Template/Terraform templates.
• Proficiency in deploying Infrastructure and Application build using YAML or DevOps Classic Pipelines.
• Expertise in cloud automation using PowerShell, CLI, or equivalent tools.
• Solid knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes.
• Analytical skills and understanding of the lifecycle of software-based services.
• Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide support and assist in troubleshooting processes in order to solve complex issues and guarantee appropriate performance of a Cloud Application.
• Be a part of the implementation of automation processes using tools such as (PS, DSC, monitoring, alerting).
• Development of IaaC scripts (ARM, Terraform) that lead to higher level of performance and efficiency across all tools and platforms.
• Performance and cost optimization.
• Ensure successful deployment of applications.
• Manage Azure cloud services spanning storage, security, networking, and computing across PaaS and SaaS.
• Implement standardization, automation, and improvements for Azure solutions.
• Collaborate with Architecture/Engineering to align solutions with the technology roadmap.
• Assist in preparing roadmaps for IT solutions in the cloud.
• Ensure availability and performance of business-critical IT infrastructure.
