Required Business Analyst Skillset

Core Experience:

• Strong transformational project background.
• Proficiency in creating small user stories and enabling regular releases using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Kanban, and Sprint methodologies.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Banking

Technical Skills:

• Basic SQL knowledge to create and run SQL scripts
• Atlassian Confluence experience

Business Analysis Expertise:

• Ability to convert business requirements into detailed user stories for IT developers.
• Expertise in working closely with Programme Managers and Scrum Masters to align team deliveries with the overarching Ellipse programme and DAO strategy.
• Leading requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, and shadowing, documented as business requirements or catalogues.

Collaboration and Design:

• Supporting solution architects and IT partners during technical analysis.
• Aiding the design phase by translating business requirements into solution designs with input from technology and business teams.

Testing and Delivery:

• Providing coordination and tracking outcomes during testing phases.
• Ensuring successful delivery across the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.

Stakeholder Management:

• Managing relationships with stakeholders and senior management
• Contribution to DAO Change Management Practice
• Offering insights to develop and enhance the Business Analyst role within the organisation.
• Driving adoption and standardisation of best practices across the BA community.
