Data Engineer

PROJECT INFORMATION:

• Industry: banking
• Location: possibility to work remotely or from the office in Kraków
• Type of assignment: B2B
• Start: ASAP (to be agreed)
• Duration: first contract until the end of the year (possible extension)

We are looking for experienced professionals to be involved in a strategic data transformation project at a leading financial institution. The aim of this initiative is to comprehensively clean and standardise data across the organisation.

The project includes the implementation of a number of significant activities, including the correction of industry codes and the development of a new database/platform focused on customer data.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong written and oral English skill with the ability to work with global virtual team across multiple regions.
• Experience with PySpark or Spark.
• Knowledge of Python or Scala programming languages.
• Expertise in Cloudera or another Hadoop distribution.
• Hands-on programming experience.
• Expertise in continuous integration, continuous development/ delivery (CI/CD).
• Airflow expertise or another orchestrator/scheduler background like Oozie or Control M.
• Cloud expertise is nice to have but not a must.
