Release Manager

Project Informations:

• Industry: banking
• Location: Gdansk or Gdynia (hybrid; 1 -2 days per week in the office)
• Rate: up to 170 PLN/H net + vat, B2B
• Required Language: English, Polish
• Flexibility: May involve extra hours, including evenings and weekends, for event implementations.

As a Release Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and execution of new releases to our client's technology platforms and applications. This involves working with various teams to deliver high-quality results in line with our client’s standards, while ensuring that operations run efficiently for both customers and the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Coordinating, planning, and maintaining the release roadmap for one or more applications.
• Overseeing multiple parallel releases, including release and deployment planning.
• Organizing and tracking change activities throughout the release lifecycle.
• Leading release decision meetings, ensuring all stakeholders approve key milestones.
• Coordinating handovers from development teams to operations teams.
• Promoting release quality and efficiency through automation, new techniques, and DevOps practices.

Knowledge and Experience:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or a related discipline.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management and planning.
• Prior experience in release or deployment management (preferably in the banking sector).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management (preferably from the client's side).
• Strong experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Basic understanding of DevOps methodologies.
