GCP Cloud Engineer

As a GCP Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure our cloud solutions are robust, scalable, and secure. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with GCP services. 
• Automate cloud operations and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. 
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. 
• Stay updated with the latest GCP features, best practices, and industry trends. 
• Create and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures. 
• Provide guidance and support to other team members on GCP-related matters. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Min. 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform. 
• Strong understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine. 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager). 
• Programming skills (Python/Golang/Java) 
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). 
• Knowledge of Application Monitoring 
• Ablity to debug, diagnose, and resolve production issues. 
• Experience in configuring Cloud resources access and security. 
• Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc. 
• Attention to detail. Focus on continuous improvement, refinement, and refactoring the code base.
