Delivery Manager

Fibertide employs engineers with strong mathematical and computer science backgrounds. We design, maintain and develop large-scale cloud systems for companies from the U.S. and Europe. Our customers include both ambitious startups and established businesses that require assistance improving their technologies for large userbases, big datasets and rapid growth.

With us, you will be…

• managing projects of international reach,
• managing and leading small teams (around 5 people per team),
• taking part in development and adjustment of delivery strategies across the whole company,
• ensuring that company goals, clients’ expectations and teams’ needs are all taken into account and reconciled effectively and in harmony with each other,
• designing company-wide formalized procedures for recurring activities,
• collaborating with Operations, Business Development and HR departments on cross-department tasks.

We expect that you…

• have at least 5 years of professional experience (at least 3 in a managerial role: project-, team-, delivery-, product-, or account-manager) working in a cloud/SRE/large-scale/high-complexity systems’ environment,
• have great communication skills (including English and Polish on a C1+ level) and can engage in written and verbal communication with clients,
• have a solid understanding of cloud systems’ purpose and mechanisms involved,
• understand team dynamics and can lead and react appropriately to the plethora of possible events (effectiveness drop, new needs arising, conflicts, priority changes etc.),
• are on the lookout for heralds of changes on interpersonal- and project-levels, be it in the context of risk mitigation or preparation for opportunities,
• have a strong technical background,
• excel at translating technical and business languages into each other.

Bonus points if you…

• excel at theoretical Computer Science or Mathematics,
• have experience in being a mentor or coach to individuals.
