Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate for the data-oriented role should have a strong background in Data Engineering, with a proven track record of implementing data pipelines and driving innovation. They should possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.

What do we need to solve:

1. Improving data estate. Help data owners and their teams to acquire full ownership of their data sets: reviewing existing pipelines and giving recommendations on what should be changed in a systematic way.
2. Evolving existing tool set. Take a look and tell us what should be done another way.

Must have skill set

• 5+ years experience in Data Engineering (data modeling, warehousing) across various industries, demonstrating the ability to adapt and implement best practices.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (particularly AWS and Azure) and their data-related offerings.
• Strong experience in Python or Scala
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes . ETL tools - such as DBT, Kafka etc. Schedulers: Airflow (primarily), Dagster.
• Databases: Oracle, Snowflake, MongoDB.
• Experience in advising and mentoring team members, promoting a collaborative environment, and driving the adoption of new technologies.
• A demonstrated ability to uplift the data engineering landscape, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
