Software Engineer II, Google Batch

Google Batch is a system designed to provision, schedule, queue, and execute batch jobs on managed Google Cloud resources.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

• Build solutions in golang code to process batch apis for external customers.
• Implement, test, deploy and maintain highly reliable, large scale computer systems.
• Learn about relevant aspects of Google Cloud at both product and technical level.
• Participate in analysis and design of solutions for large Google Cloud customers.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.
• Experience working on customer facing products/ Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
• Experience with Golang, Java and C++.
