Senior Search Developer

We are seeking a motivated Senior Search Developer with solid experience in Java and Search knowledge. This role is ideal for someone ready to dive deeper into SOLR and develop specialised expertise. The ideal candidate will work within a team of approximately six engineers on search-based services critical to our business applications. This position offers growth and collaboration within a supportive environment.

Essential functions

• Develop, maintain, and enhance search services using SOLR and other search technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RESTful search services into various applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimise search functionalities for improved performance.
• Learn and apply advanced SOLR configurations and practices to meet project needs.
• Participate in technical discussions, contributing to architectural and design decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java development and basic search technologies.
• Willingness and ability to develop expertise in SOLR.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful services and integrating them within applications.
• Solid verbal English skills for communication within an international team.
