We are looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer to join the team responsible for Oncology Data Science Platforms.

The main idea of the project is to organize data to make it accessible, integrated and reusable for humans & AI, and to build the best data computation tools to support scientific decision making. 

Main responsibilities:

•  Build scalable (Cloud and HPC) solutions that work on tens of thousands of CPUs.
•  Develop, test, and support bioinformatics data analysis tools and pipelines for Sequencing data (NGS) at scale.
•  Automate complex data analysis processes.
• Validate the quality of the datasets using various tools to assess the correctness of the results.
• Manage, analyze, and deliver sequencing data (NGS).

We offer a choice of employment form: B2B or Employment Contract 

• UoP: 19 000 – 23 000 PLN gross/month
• B2B: 160 – 190 PLN net/hour + VAT

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Relevant graduate degree: Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years of applied experience in Bioinformatics, specifically in sequencing data analysis: DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, BS-Seq, Single-Cell, ATAC-Seq, etc.;
• Programming skills: solid Python and Nextflow programming skills, as well as experience in other programming languages;
• Experience in: Unix, SQL databases (PostgreSQL), REST APIs, Cloud computing (AWS), and HPC (High Performance Computing);
• Experience in software development best practices;
• Located in Poland;
• Fluent English.

Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:

• Experience with orchestration tools and virtualized environments (Docker, K8S);
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs;
• NGS analyses for Oncology.
