Applications L1 Support Analyst

As an Applications L1 Support Analyst, you will be working for one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of a portfolio of applications by providing Level 1 production support and handling configuration tasks. This includes coordinating application releases, conducting testing, resolving incidents, and maintaining production environments. You will also collaborate with application managers to address compliance items and support infrastructure maintenance activities.

Your main responsibilities:

• Provide L1 production support for a portfolio of applications, including timely incident management and resolution.
• Manage and process production incidents (INC) related to supported applications while maintaining the production incident queue.
• Offer technical and business support to users and application managers.
• Coordinate application production releases, testing, and deployments.
• Perform post-release checkouts following application updates or infrastructure maintenance.
• Ensure disaster recovery (COB) testing and infrastructure maintenance activities are executed effectively.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
• Analyze applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
• Carry out other duties in a concise and logical manner as assigned.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Around 2 years of experience in application production support or development.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Basic understanding of technology platforms and infrastructure (Windows, Linux, WebLogic, WebSphere, SQL, Oracle, MQ, NDM).
• Familiarity with information security concepts.
• Experience as a project team member in a project management framework (Waterfall/Agile).
• Basic business knowledge and understanding of financial markets and products (preferred).
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English.
