DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading international insurance group undergoing a significant digital transformation. 

Warsaw based in hybrid work model - 1 day per week at the office, 4 day per week remotely.

This project focuses on modernizing their core systems and infrastructure, migrating to cloud-native technologies, and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines. The DevOps will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the automated infrastructure and deployment processes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. 

This involves collaborating with development teams to streamline their workflows, improve deployment frequency, and enhance the overall software delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation tools, and cloud technologies, and will be passionate about building and optimizing complex systems. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on a large-scale project and contribute to the future of the insurance industry.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Azure DevOps
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement and manage database migration tools like Liquibase and Flyway
• Utilize FluxCD for GitOps deployments
• Collaborate with development teams to improve their workflows
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance
• Ensure security best practices are implemented throughout the infrastructure
• Document and maintain DevOps processes and procedures
• Contribute to the overall cloud migration strategy

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of GitLab and Azure DevOps
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with database migration tools (Liquibase, Flyway)
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., FluxCD)
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates)
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
