As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, as they transition their infrastructure from Windows-based services to a modern Kubernetes environment. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and enhancing the overall reliability and observability of their applications. Your focus will be on migrating microservices and vendor-based applications, while also addressing current monitoring gaps. You will work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and optimize system performance. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the client's infrastructure strategy, driving the adoption of cutting-edge DevOps practices and improving operational efficiency.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo
- Develop automation scripts (Python) to improve efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies
- Migrate Windows-based services to Kubernetes
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Influx, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Automate deployments for both Windows and Kubernetes environments
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps technologies and best practices
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Influx, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
- Experience with Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles
