Backend Web Developer

We are looking for a backend Web Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for implementing the backend of our revolutionary analytics software, helping to shape it from day one. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, as well as ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.

You’ll work alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various infrastructure layers for our platform.

Basic Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a developer.
• Experience with JavaScript as a programming language is required
• Experienced with the Node.js back-end programming language
• Experience with traditional object-oriented languages
• Demonstrable experience in building modern, complex customer-facing web applications.
• Solid grounding in data-driven applications and concepts (data/object modeling, database systems)
• Working knowledge of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Bull, etc.)

You will:

• Design, build, and maintain public APIs and application components
• Design and implement the overall architecture of the web application.
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.

Good to have:

• Working knowledge of build systems for automating tasks
• Knowledge about Docker and how to run applications in containers
• Knowledge on testing frameworks
