Project

---

As an IT Release Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of new releases and rollouts for the client's technology platforms and applications. Your role ensures high-quality deliveries that comply with the client's standards while enhancing customer and operational experiences. Working within the Execution and Delivery unit, you will drive efficient, scalable, and repeatable release management processes. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Release and Rollout Managers, Test Managers, Product Owners, Execution Leads, Scrum Masters, and Operations teams, to ensure safe and successful deliveries.

 

What you will be doing

• Defining the release & roll-out strategy, governance model, and milestone plan based on established processes and best practices
• Coordinating the release & roll-out organization and surrounding teams in preparation for go-live, including securing resources, building the go-live implementation plan, and executing dress rehearsals
• Leading release go-live and post-go-live activities
• Planning and coordinating change activities throughout the roll-out process
• Planning and coordinating business verification activities during rehearsals and go-live
• Overseeing that production operations teams receive proper transition support as new solutions are rolled out
• Leading roll-out decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each roll-out milestone
• Increasing release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working into release orchestration

 

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT or related disciplines
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Accountability, proactivity, and ability to adapt quickly to change
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for implementation events
• Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
• High proficiency in spoken and written English

 

Experience and Background

• +7 years of experience in IT project management and planning experience 
• Experience with application release or data migration projects, including hands-on use of release or cutover planning tools
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes under the ITIL framework
• Understanding of technology solution architecture
• Knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Helix)
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Basic knowledge of DevOps ways of working
• Experience in the banking or finance sector (a clear advantage)
