    Why choose this offer?

    • You can expect a flexible work organization
    • The international work environment will give you the opportunity to interact with the English language on a daily basis
    • The Jit community will bring you a nice time during regular integration meetings

    Project

We’re looking for Software Developers to join our IT product teams supporting customer service and specialized logistics. You’ll help build and modernize a mission-critical core system that coordinates global transport and logistics operations across more than 130 countries.

The platform supports key business processes such as booking and sales, route planning and optimization, container and transport organization, customs operations, invoicing, and special cargo handling. It is a highly modular and interconnected system — changes in one functional area (e.g., route optimization) can directly impact quoting, port operations, customs clearance, billing, and special cargo management. If you're self-driven and solution-oriented, this is your chance to work on core systems at the heart of global transport operations.

    Expected competencies and knowledge

    • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a comparable software development role for regular position and at least 5 years of experience on senior position
    • Strong skills in object-oriented programming and Java EE (including JPA, CDI, JTA, JAX-RS, Servlets, Messaging, Batch & Stream processing, Logging, and Monitoring)
    • Experience with software design methodologies and modeling tools (e.g., UML)
    • Solid understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL
    • Familiarity with modern software development practices, adaptability to evolving requirements, and a strong customer-centric mindset
    • Excellent verbal and written English skills, along with strong communication abilities

    Nice to have

    • Interest in cloud based technologies (AWS & IBM) and micro service development
    • Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    • Experience in designing distributed computing and web services architectures and building large scale applications
    • Experience in test-driven development
    • Messaging (Apache Kafka)
    • Working experience or knowledge of international logistics context
    • Experience in DevOps (Jenkin, Artifactory, Maven, Gitlab/ Github)
    • Experience in agile software development using, e.g., Scrum or KANBAN framework

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain applications using Java EE
    • Apply principles of Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design in system architecture and development
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to analyze current systems, business processes, and requirements
    • Modernize legacy commercial applications by migrating from a procedural tech stack to a cutting-edge cloud platform
    • Implement automated testing at various levels, including unit, database, and integration (e.g., Selenium-based tests)
    • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing, deployment, maintenance, and third-level support
    • Work in a global environment, cooperating with international team members on a daily basis

    Technologies you'll work with

    • PostgreSQL
    • Apache Kafka
    • Custom internal libraries
    • REST APIs
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
