Salary: 900-1200 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia/Warszawa/Łódź (at least 1 day per week from the office)

Project

---

You will be involved in a financial project focused on engineering and automation activities within PostgreSQL technology. The initiative supports the optimization and modernization of large-scale database infrastructures, including high-availability configurations, automation of provisioning and maintenance tasks, and DevOps integrations.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL production environments, ensuring stability, performance, and availability

• Design and implement replication, partitioning, and clustering solutions

• Drive automation of database provisioning and maintenance tasks using shell scripts and DevOps tools

• Perform SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and debugging

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure proper integration and monitoring

• Support incident troubleshooting and problem resolution

• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing

• Contribute to the adoption of ITIL processes and agile methodologies

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA

• Proven experience in large-scale PostgreSQL setups (replication, clustering, partitioning)

• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, extensions, and tools

• Strong skills in SQL tuning and debugging

• Proficiency in Linux systems and shell scripting

• Familiarity with DevOps tools like AAP, VRA/VRO, or Terraform (nice to have)

• Experience with monitoring solutions (Grafana, pgAdmin, or equivalents)

• Certifications like PostgreSQL CE or similar are a plus

• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and ITIL

• Excellent communication skills, independence, and proactive attitude
