Project

Join our client’s team – an international financial institution – as a Senior Database Support Specialist.
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and supporting databases. You will work in a mixed structure (internal team and external consultants), focusing on process optimization, improving IT support, and collaborating with the Database Engineering team to drive projects and define the future of database infrastructure.

Expected competences and knowledge

• Experience managing large database environments (at least several hundred MS SQL and Azure Cosmos instances)
• Proficiency in daily DBA tasks:
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
  • Responding to incidents and quickly restoring services
  • Providing technical consultations to other teams
• Experience in IT operations planning and control:
  • Defining and enforcing standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with security and engineering policies
  • Patching, upgrading, monitoring, and hardening systems
• English proficiency (spoken and written, at least B2 level)
• Experience working in a financial institution 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Collaborating with the Database Engineering team (governance, security, architecture & design) on projects
• Coordinating with an external company that provides daily operational support for databases
• Optimizing resources (people, servers, licenses)
• Reducing the number and duration of critical incidents
• Supporting IT teams in operations and development processes
