Automation QA

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 6+ years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, Pytest, and REST API testing, with a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and software development best practices. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through robust, scalable, and maintainable automated tests.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Python and Pytest
• Create and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and performance validation
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to understand requirements and integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Perform thorough debugging and root cause analysis for test failures
• Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, participating in design and code reviews
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and technologies
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on automation best practices

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in test automation or software development in a QA-focused role
• Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience building test automation frameworks
• In-depth knowledge and experience using Pytest for writing and managing automated tests
• Solid experience testing REST APIs, including creating mocks, validation of responses, and performance testing
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API automation libraries
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., Locust, JMeter)
• Exposure to front-end test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) is a plus
