SDET Python

We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong foundation in Python test automation to join our QA team. You’ll be responsible for building robust, scalable test solutions across APIs and UIs while working closely with developers and product teams in an Agile environment.

This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, requiring 2 days per week on-site, with flexibility to align work hours for Scrum ceremonies in EST.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Jira stories to create detailed test cases and plans
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Python
• Develop and execute tests using frameworks such as Pytest (and optionally Robot Framework)
• Perform REST API testing and Selenium-based UI automation
• Work with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL) for test validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and product quality
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support ongoing CI/CD processes
• Investigate test failures and report defects with detailed documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with Pytest or similar test frameworks
• Solid experience in REST API testing and Selenium for UI automation
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Jira for test case and plan creation
• Experience with the Robot Framework is a plus
• Comfortable working a shift aligned with EST time zone Scrum meetings
