Expert Scala Developer

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Scala/Spark jobs for complex data transformation and aggregation tasks
• Tackle business-critical challenges in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Write and run unit tests, manage builds and deployments via Jenkins
• Collaborate on code reviews and ensure high-quality deliveries
• Dig into issues with RCA and help solve real-world problems

Ideal candidate profile

• Solid hands-on experience with Scala
• Deep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem
• Familiarity with CI/CD, especially Jenkins and Git
• Experience with:
• Hive/HQL
• Oozie
• Shell scripting
• Splunk
• Bonus points for Python
• Fluent English (you’ll be working in an international setup)

Conditions

• Location: Gdańsk
• Work model: Hybrid – 1 day/week in the office
• Contract: B2B
• Rate: 150–190 PLN net/h
