We are seeking a Fullstack Web Developer to join our international team working on secure digital identity and authorization systems for a German public sector project. You will be responsible for developing modern, secure web applications and backend services that manage sensitive user data and comply with the latest digital identity standards.
This is a long-term engagement in a stable and highly regulated environment, focused on privacy, cryptography, and system reliability. You’ll be working alongside experienced developers, QA engineers, DevSecOps specialists, and UX designers in a cross-functional setup.
- Development of secure web applications for identity and access management
- Participation in a long-term public sector initiative (2–3 years, with high potential for extension)
- Remote work from within the EU, with occasional visits to Germany
- Multinational, highly collaborative team environment
- Planned project start: June 2025
- Design, implementation and maintenance of frontend applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular or Vue)
- Integration and development of REST APIs using Java or Kotlin
- Collaboration with UX/UI designers to deliver responsive and user-friendly interfaces
- Implementation of frontend testing using Selenium
- Contribution to API documentation and design using OpenAPI/Swagger
- Working with structured data in formats such as JSON and Protobuf
- Participation in code reviews, DevOps workflows and CI/CD processes
- Ensuring adherence to security standards and best practices in web development
- Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS
- Minimum 3 years of experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue)
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap
- Experience with frontend testing tools (e.g., Selenium)
- Experience in consuming and building RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
- Understanding of data formats like JSON and Protobuf
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of backend development using Java or Kotlin
- Fluency in both German and English (minimum B2 level)
- Experience with Java backend frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Familiarity with JUnit testing
- Understanding of identity protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
- Experience with Docker and container-based development environments
- Familiarity with UI/UX tools such as Figma
- Awareness of web application security best practices
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as eIDAS for digital identity systems
