We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer proficient with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL (12c or higher) and Azure. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating and utilizing functions, packages, procedures and knowledge of performance and security issues in the database layer (Oracle on premise or Oracle Autonomous DB).
Tasks:
- Writing SQL and PL/SQL code for application development, data manipulation, and business rules/logic implementation.
- Development and optimization of data transformation and data loading processes using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Be responsible for the reliability of the databases, making sure they run smoothly while providing the required performance and scale.
- Take part in the team’s projects including building automations for complex scenarios, automating observability, and introducing new technologies to the company.
- Build robust scripts and solutions to allow DB self-management by developers.
- Use and develop change management solutions using Terraform and other tools.
- You will be working with team of experienced and highly talented engineers with cutting edge technologies while taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions. Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Independence and responsibility for delivering a solution.
- Ability to work under Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
Requirements:
- Min 4 years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL (12c or higher)
- Very Good knowledge of PL/SQL - creating and utilizing functions, packages and procedures
- Knowledge of performance and security issues in the database layer (Oracle on premise or Oracle Autonomous DB)
- Working experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Good understanding of Azure services (Key Vault, Azure blob storages, file systems, administration, IAM, etc)
- Good understanding of Azure networking and security aspects (firewalls, NSG, vnet integration etc.)
- Experience working in the Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Capable of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, cross-functional and cross-cultural environment
- Very good level of communication, the ability to clearly and specifically convey information, experience in working with business users
- English at least at B2 level, ideally C1
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of Oracle database administration concepts and understanding of Oracle Autonomous Azure DB
- Knowledge of Linux operating system (Red Hat) and experiences with Oracle installations on Linux
- Experience with Python will be considered as a big advantage
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and hands on experience with ADO pipelines
- Ability to implement secure data-sharing solutions within Databricks
