Cloud Security Manager - IAM with Okta

Opportunity Summary

Seeking an experienced Architect/Senior Engineer specializing in Cloud and Identity & Access Management (IAM) for global cloud security initiatives. This role focuses on securing cloud-based workloads, managing migrations, and creating tailored solutions to address industry-specific security needs. Familiarity with various cloud providers and IAM tools, as well as security protocols, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design:
• Lead IAM design and implementation for on-premises and cloud environments, focusing on Okta solutions.
• Develop and deploy identity governance, SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management to align with enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate closely with security and application teams to integrate Okta across systems.
• Engineering and Implementation:
• Configure and customize Okta to support SSO, user provisioning, and MFA.
• Automate provisioning processes and integrate IAM into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform risk assessments to ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
• Security and Governance:
• Implement and manage RBAC and ABAC within Okta to enhance IAM security.
• Ensure solutions adhere to industry standards, continuously monitoring and refining security configurations.
• Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
• Work with cross-functional teams to align IAM solutions with business requirements.
• Act as an Okta/IAM expert, guiding internal teams and developing robust documentation.
• Stay informed on industry trends and drive innovation in IAM practices.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• 5+ years in IAM design and management, with 3+ years focused on Okta.
• Knowledge of related IAM tools (e.g., Azure AD) and experience with security standards like OAuth and SAML.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in IAM principles, scripting, and experience with cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with encryption and data protection practices.
• Certifications:
• Okta certification preferred, with additional IAM certifications as an advantage.
• Soft Skills:
• Problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and capability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
