NOC Engineer

We are looking for a motivated NOC Engineer to join our team and support the seamless operation of network infrastructure. In this role, you will monitor and manage network performance, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to the automation of routine processes using scripting and APIs. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining optimal network availability and efficiency, ensuring our services run smoothly 24/7.

Your responsibilities

• Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance using tools such as Zabbix or similar platforms to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Incident Management: Respond to network incidents promptly, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes or escalations as needed.
• Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to improve efficiency in network operations, leveraging APIs for seamless integration with existing tools and platforms.
• Configuration Management: Perform configuration, management, and optimization of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• System Integration: Ensure the integration of monitoring tools with other IT systems to provide unified visibility and reporting.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network configurations, incidents, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to network improvements.

Our requirements

Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN and cloud networking concepts.

Automation Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks.
• Experience with APIs and their integration into workflows and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools such as Ansible is a plus.

Monitoring Tools:

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring platforms like Zabbix, SolarWinds, or PRTG.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and provide clear updates.
• Detail-oriented mindset for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring quality.
