Our client is a global company focused on cutting-edge cybersecurity and identity management solutions. As part of their ongoing growth, they are expanding their Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering team and are looking for a 

System Administrator - security, authentication (IAM Engineer)

to play a key role in improving security, automation, and identity governance.

As a Senior IAM Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating IAM solutions, focusing on Okta, Microsoft Entra/Active Directory (AD), and B2C authentication. This role is primarily engineering-focused rather than operational, with an emphasis on automation, security, and Single Sign-On (SSO) improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Customer Success, and Security to optimize IAM policies, automate user access reviews, and implement authentication workflows. The role will also involve configuring and stabilizing Okta during its phased implementation and working on broader security initiatives, such as Privileged Access Management (PAM) improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead IAM engineering initiatives, focusing on security automation and identity governance.
• Develop and optimize IAM solutions using Okta, Microsoft Entra/AD, and B2C authentication.
• Automate user provisioning, access reviews, and policy enforcement through scripting and development.
• Configure and test SAML/OIDC integrations to ensure seamless authentication flows.
• Align IAM policies with security frameworks (e.g., NIST) and compliance best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement IAM solutions for enterprise and customer-facing applications.
• Document IAM processes, automation scripts, and security policies to ensure scalability and knowledge sharing.
• Stabilize and optimize Okta before transitioning routine functions to the IAM Operations team.
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives, including Privileged Access Management (PAM) improvements and authentication enhancements.

requirements:

✔ Proven experience as an IAM Engineer, with expertise in Okta, Microsoft Entra/AD, and B2C authentication.

✔ Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, or equivalent).

✔ Experience with SAML/OIDC integrations for seamless authentication flows.

✔ Deep understanding of IAM best practices, including identity governance, MFA, and security frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.

✔ Ability to collaborate across teams, gathering technical requirements and delivering effective IAM solutions.

nice to have

➕ Experience with SailPoint (preferred if no suitable Okta candidates are available).

➕ Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools and security controls.

➕ Experience working in highly regulated environments with strict security and compliance requirements.
