Hey 馃憢 I鈥檓 Adam, Integrations Engineer at Pinpoint.
We鈥檙e a high-growth HR-tech startup, building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place鈥攚ith a mature product, strong product-market fit, and happy customers.
Integrations are a key pillar of our product and strategy. They enable a seamless user experience, unlock value through partnerships, and give customers the flexibility to build on top of our platform. Today, our growing integrations marketplace includes ~50 built-in integrations, and our聽public API聽is actively used by both clients and partners.
We鈥檙e expanding our Integrations team to keep pace with demand and improve how we build and maintain plugins. This role will help scale delivery by accelerating hands-on development using our internal Ruby-based integration plugin framework, while freeing up senior engineers to focus on architecture and tooling. You鈥檒l join a team of three working on third-party integrations (HRIS, background checks, assessments, etc.) and improving the developer experience for partners building on our API.
The fine print (but way more exciting):
- This is a remote-first role open to candidates based in the UK or Poland, with occasional in-person meetups. Our HQ is in Jersey, and we鈥檙e a global team of ~80 people (20 in Product & Engineering) across the UK, US, and EU.
- This is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast, build production-ready software, and solve real-world problems alongside experienced engineers.
- To streamline our integration efforts, we've developed a powerful Integration Plugin Framework鈥攁 tool that bridges our ATS with external systems such as HRIS, assessment platforms, background check providers, and more.
- Our full tech stack can be found here
- Our聽values聽shape how we work. If they resonate with you, we鈥檇 love to meet you.
- Build and own new integrations between our ATS and third-party tools (e.g. HR systems, background check services, assessment platforms)
- Develop plugins using our internal Ruby-based integration plugin framework
- Pull data from external systems and push it back鈥攅nsuring everything adheres to our interface contracts and expectations
- Work end-to-end: gathering requirements, developing the plugin, testing it, validating it with internal stakeholders, and ensuring it meets client expectations
- Collaborate with our Head of Integrations and the engineer overseeing the framework to shape best practices
- Tackle the realities of integration work: poor documentation, edge cases, unclear APIs鈥攁nd learn a ton in the process
What success looks like in your first 90 days:
-
Day 30:聽Delivered your first HRIS integration plugin.
-
Day 60:聽Completed two additional integrations鈥攐ne using Kombo, and one built from standalone third-party documentation.
-
Day 90:聽Actively contributing feedback and testing input on new developments in our plugin framework.
-
Beyond:聽Maintaining a steady cadence of ~2 new integrations shipped per month.
- 2+ years of experience in Ruby (Ruby on Rails experience is a big plus, but not required)
- Solid understanding of REST APIs is a must. Experience with GraphQL and SOAP is a nice bonus
- Experience working with external APIs and third-party systems鈥攜ou should know what it鈥檚 like to deal with inconsistent docs and weird API quirks
- Comfort working directly with clients to gather requirements, map data, and ensure successful integration delivery
- Comfortable working independently鈥攁ble to break down work, manage your time, and take full ownership of your projects.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to manage client expectations are essential.
- Some familiarity with the HR domain (HRIS, recruitment tools, etc.) is a plus
- A curious mindset and interest in building things outside of work鈥攂onus points if you鈥檝e tinkered with APIs, built small tools for fun, or have a public GitHub portfolio
