About the Project 

The BMF project aims to develop a modern, integrated cash and accounting system for the Federal Ministry of Finance, replacing outdated and maintenance-intensive procedures. This system will centralize operations both professionally and technically, facilitating budget planning, implementation, and settlement. 

Responsibilities 

• Further develop cross-procedural test management and participate in coordination meetings with other testers. 
• Deep dive into domain knowledge and the codebase. 
• Implement test automation using E2E tests (Robot Framework). 
• Automate integration tests with React Testing Library (TypeScript, frontend). 
• Write and execute load tests. 
• Create test plans and define test strategies. 
• Utilize existing test cases and develop custom test cases. 
• Identify improvements and testing opportunities, contributing innovative ideas. 

Additional Tasks 

• Conduct manual testing. 
• Generate and maintain test data. 
• Write integration tests in Golang, if expertise allows. 

Must-Have Qualifications 

• Experience working with and adopting agile methodologies. 
• Strong commitment, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. 
• Passion for continuous professional development and software testing. 
• Solid knowledge of React and TypeScript. 
• Understanding of design patterns and software architecture. 
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework. 
• Proven expertise in test management. 
• Advanced knowledge of various testing levels and their scope. 
• Strong leadership and communication skills. 
• Willingness to travel (approximately 4 to 5 trips per year); otherwise, remote work is possible. 
• Fluent in German (written and verbal). 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications 

• Experience with React Testing Library. 
• Extensive knowledge of testing technologies and frameworks for web applications and single-page applications (React & Golang). 
• Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript. 
• Familiarity with relational databases. 
• Knowledge of Golang.
