Job Overview
As an AI Security Expert in the Security department of Relativity, you will work with product teams, engineers, and architects to ensure the security of our AI-based solutions. This is an opportunity to blaze a trail in a security department expanding its scope to encompass AI products.
The AI Security expert will:
- Partner with stakeholders across Relativity to securely enable usage of commercial AI solutions.
- Provide appropriate security controls and requirements for onboarding new AI tools.
- Ensure innovative products meet Relativity’s security and compliance standards.
- Work under the guidance of the Director of Security Enablement for guidance.

What are the core duties of this role?
- Develop & implement robust security measures to protect AI-based systems from threats.
- You want to drive the use of AI in support of our security team’s mission.
- Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of AI/ML systems, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the security and privacy of AI systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Advise on compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to AI security and privacy, such as NIST AI RMF
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in security management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in security preferably in a high-security environment, with at least 2 years in an application security role.
- Proven ability to deliver on large-scale, cross-functional projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
- Familiar with specification, technical design, estimation, and project management practices.
- Hybrid-working role (2+ days in office)
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a SaaS environment operating on a global scale.
- Experience working with commercial AI technologies (Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Gemini...)
- Experience in the legal space and with an understanding of e-discovery and litigation.
- Experience working with AI products and design.
