Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join remotely one of the exciting projects within a global, American, market-leading, NYSE-listed trading platform. 

We (at RITS) work in the cooperation/partnership model where we see our consultants as clients as well. Currently, we are an exclusive Polish vendor for this particular client which is a very stable company that has been in existence for over 25 years and helps the world's leading asset managers, central banks, hedge funds, and other institutional investors access the liquidity they need through a range of electronic marketplaces and trades on average of about 30 trillion dollars A MONTH.

Responsibilities:

•               Design and develop mission-critical solutions for our high-performance distributed trading systems.
•               Collaborate with a small, world-class team to create a new suite of Web APIs.
•               Interact with business stakeholders and customers to translate requirements into elegant,

scalable technical implementations.

•               Automate regression testing to ensure high-quality standards while supporting rapid deployment of new features.
•               Take full ownership of analyzing and resolving production issues.
•               Design and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Python, and Bash scripting.
•               Develop cloud-based microservices to manage customer metadata, controlling feature access and data entitlements.
•               Build a comprehensive reporting service for our Web-based MarketData API using Python.
•               Develop, test, and maintain Python APIs for various new REST/WebSocket APIs.

We are looking for:

Required Education:

•            Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a directly related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

Core Skills (5+ years):

•            Strong proficiency in Python for software design and development.

•            Proven experience solving problems in enterprise real-time distributed systems.

•            Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.

•            Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

•            Experience in Python packaging and product development (open-source contributions preferred).

Additional Skills (2+ years):

•            Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, particularly GitLab CI/CD.

•            Proficiency with Amazon AWS command-line interface (CLI).

•            Understanding of OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols.

•            Experience with one or more of Java, JavaScript, or C#.

•            Familiarity with front-office capital markets, financial software, or trading systems.

•            Experience with secrets management solutions like HashiCorp Vault.

•            Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker.

•            Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSocket, FIX, Protobuf, or Flatbuffers.
