Data & Analytics Developer

As a Data & Analytics Developer, you will be accountable for designing, developing, and maintaining the data lakehouse, data models and visualizations using tools like Databricks, Power BI and ThoughtSpot. You will transform raw data into meaningful insights that support decision-making across the business and build scalable, reliable, and efficient data models that empower data analysts, and business collaborators to access and analyze large volumes of data. You will closely work with other team members and the Product Owner to ensure a seamless and successful implementation of data-driven solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Business Analysts, and other team members to understand data requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex Analysis Services data models and Power BI datasets, paginated reports, and dashboards.
• Implement dynamic currency conversion, row-level security, and compliance measures.
• Conduct data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Work with data analysts, developers, and engineers to improve data analysis and reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data modelling and visualizations and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
• Communicate effectively with collaborators to gather requirements and deliver insights.
• Document data modelling processes, data flows, and system configurations.

Key Relationships

• Act as the technical contact point for any technical implementation on data modelling and visualizations.
• Exchange experience and work closely with D&A team members and other teams.
• Work effectively in a distributed team and understand cultural differences.

Abilities

• Highly self-motivated, able to work independently, and assume ownership.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable deadlines.
• Proficiency in SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark, DAX, and other programming languages.
• Experience working with Data Warehouse, Analysis Services, and Power BI.
• Expertise in data modelling, database design, and SQL query optimization.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence and Data Developer with a focus on crafting data models and visualizations.
• Certifications in Power BI, Data Warehouse, and Azure services are a plus.
