Angular Developer

We are looking for Angular Developer to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team, for a traffic management project that we are implementing for our Swiss client. The aim of the project is to enable users to keep track of the current situation on the state roads, by accessing information about ongoing traffic jams, closed roads, etc.

You will be part of an European team (Switzerland, UK, Poland).

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.

Mission/tasks:

• Migrating GWT’s Java frontend parts to clean
• TypeScript Angular Web Components in a hybrid approach
• Implementing testing and QA
• In-code documentation
• Teamwork in agile projects according to Scrum

Tech stack:

• Backend: Java 8-11, Maven, Jenkins
• Frontend: currently Google Web Toolkit (GWT), migration to Angular using a hybrid approach
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux, application packaged as RPMs in Jenkins
• Oracle DB
• Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, GWT
• Knowledge repository: Confluence/Jira, GitLab and Swiss Norms
• Version control systems: Git (GitLab), Flyway
• Other: GIS Server, IntelliJ IDEA

Methodology:

• Scrum

Must have requirements:

• Min. 2-3 years of experience with recent Angular and TypeScript and Node.JS
• Angular Custom Elements: experience or willingness to learn fast
• Browser-independent Web Components: experience or willingness to learn fast
• Frontend unit testing like i.e. Jest
• rxJS / Signals
• HTML5 / CSS3 or SCSS
• Some knowledge of Java, Spring
• Fundamental understanding of HTTP
• IDE IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate
• Very good communication skills
• Problem-solving attitude and client focus
• Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice
• EU citizenship
• Fluent English (B2/C1)

Nice to have requirements:

• Frontend styling skills like at least one UI Component Library
• TestCafe end to end testing skills
• Vanilla JavaScript
• Communicative level of German or willingness to learn

Location: Katowice (hybrid)
