Postgres DBA

We are embarking on a project to build the infrastructure for a new version of an existing application developed for our long-term client based in Germany. This initiative marks an important evolution of the current system, aiming to improve scalability, performance, and security to meet modern enterprise standards.

As part of this effort, a Database Specialist will play a key role within a cross-functional team that collaborates closely with experts responsible for infrastructure, automation, and security. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the foundation of a strategic solution, ensuring the database layer is robust, optimized, and aligned with overall system architecture and security requirements.

Responsibilities:

˜ Design, implement, and maintain database solutions to support the new version of the application.

˜ Collaborate with infrastructure, automation, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization.

˜ Set up and configure database environments (development, testing, production).

˜ Support migration activities from the current version to the new infrastructure.

˜ Ensure data integrity, availability, and security in compliance with project standards.

˜ Monitor and optimize database performance and resource usage.

˜ Assist in defining backup and recovery strategies.

˜ Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Tech stack on the project:

˜ PostgreSQL.16

Must have requirements:

˜ 3 years or more experience on Postgres database administration

˜ knowledge of PostgreSQL.16

˜ good knowledge of English – min. B2 level

Nice to have requirements:

˜ Oracle

˜ MS SQL

˜ Knowledge of French would be an asset

Working hours, location:

Business hours: 08:00 – 18:00 (8 hours shifts)
