As a Data Platforms Technical Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and management of T-Mobile’s data platforms infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive the implementation of scalable, robust, and secure data solutions.

What tasks await you?

• Lead the design and development of data platform solutions
• Create and maintain technical standards and best practices
• Make decisions on architecture, tools, and frameworks for data ingestion, processing and analytics
• Ensure alignment with enterprise technology and security standards
• Implement and manage cloud-based (e.g. AWS, GCP) and on-prem data & analytics platforms
• Ensure compliance with DevOps practices and privacy & security policies
• Optimize platform performance and cost-efficiency, troubleshoot complex technical issues

Team & Stakeholder Management:

• Oversee and mentor a team of data engineers and developers
• Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment
• Work closely with stakeholders to align technical efforts with business objectives
• Create and maintain product backlogs and roadmaps
• Estimate and plan work, providing status updates to stakeholders

What skills will be appreciated?

• Extensive experience (4+ years) in designing and delivering cloud or hybrid data platforms
• Strong background in data engineering and analytics
• Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Data Warehousing, Big Data technologies and NoSQL databases
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Understanding of Kubernetes and CI/CD frameworks
