RPG/IBM i Developer with German

Backend | Remote or hybrid from Wrocław | Full-time | B2B or Employment Contract

We are currently looking for an RPG/IBM i (AS/400) Developer to join a project team working for our German client – a large service-oriented organization with its own internal IT department and ambitious plans for digital transformation, including a potential migration from RPG/IBM i to a Java-based environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 5 years of experience in RPG programming
• Is familiar with the IBM i environment and Rational Developer for i (RDi)
• Speaks Polish at minimum B1 level and German at minimum B2 level
• Has a basic knowledge of Java and is eager to grow toward modern backend architectures
• Is open to learning and ready to work in a system transformation environment
• Holds a degree in computer science or has equivalent professional experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL and the eXplain analysis tool
• Familiarity with GitLab for version control
• Any prior experience with Java or system migration projects
