The project expected to last approximately one year.
🟣 You will be:
- establishing and optimizing cloud financial operations (FinOps) processes within the organization’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment,
- playing a crucial role in budget planning, cost monitoring, chargeback mechanisms, and cloud financial governance,
- defining cost control mechanisms and implementing strategies to monitor and optimize cloud expenditures,
- ensuring financial transparency across different business units by aligning cloud costs with business objectives,
- collaborating with finance, engineering, and operations teams to develop internal chargeback models and improve cost efficiency.
🟣 Your profile:
- minimum 5 years of experience in cloud cost management and FinOps,
- expertise in budget planning and defining spending thresholds to control cloud costs,
- strong experience in monitoring cloud spending and identifying areas for cost reduction,
- ability to build and track cloud service budgets, actual costs, and forecasts, collaborating with Finance teams,
- proven experience in allocating cloud service costs across business units and establishing ownership models,
- experience in developing internal chargeback/showback structures for cloud services,
- strong knowledge of vendor billing validation, invoicing, and consumer chargeback processes,
- ability to implement automated billing reports and dashboards to provide cost insights,
- strong skills in collaborating with IT and business leaders to review cloud spending and optimize financial strategies.
🟣 Nice to have:
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification,
- experience in cost forecasting models and analyzing financial metrics for cloud investments,
- knowledge of best practices for optimizing Cloud Total Cost of Ownership (TCO),
- experience in managing vendor relationships and assessing support performance,
- proven ability to continuously identify and implement cloud cost-saving opportunities.
