SAP Test Manager

About project

For our Client - a global container liner shipping company we are seeking an experienced SAP Test Manager to lead and oversee testing activities within SAP projects, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with project objectives. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, managing testing teams, and delivering test solutions in SAP environments.

Possibility of 100% remote work with occasional travel to Gdańsk or Hamburg (frequency to be determined).

Engagement Duration: 3–6 months

Tasks

• Develop and implement SAP test strategies and plans tailored to project requirements
• Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables to ensure quality assurance
• Manage test preparation, execution, and reporting for different testing phases, including Unit Testing, Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing
• Establish and maintain testing environments using SAP tools such as Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, or Tricentis Tosca
• Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure testing goals align with business objectives
• Identify and mitigate risks related to testing activities, ensuring smooth project execution
• Lead and mentor testing teams, providing guidance on best practices and test methodologies
• Organize and facilitate defect triage meetings, ensuring efficient resolution of testing issues
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security regulations, and business requirements in testing processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing test results and implementing process optimizations

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software testing, particularly within SAP implementation, upgrade, or transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience with SAP testing tools 
• Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points
• Experience managing end-to-end test cycles in Agile 
• Ability to define and execute test automation strategies to improve efficiency and coverage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex testing concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding testing teams across multiple projects
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are preferred
• Proficiency in English at the C1 level
