Lead Python Engineer

We looking for a Lead Python Engineer with strong REST API and AWS experience to work in a Data and Distribution team. Our client is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. 

Our new Engineer should be open to working from our client's Tri-City office one day per week or visiting the office once a month for a few days.

Your main responsibilities for this position will be:

• Analyzing, designing, coding, and building - crafting front-end and backend components to fit the business requirements.
• Leading the development team with the Team Lead.
• Developing scalable, reusable software components in line with architectural standards.
• Implementing automated test–unit and integration tests for continuous integration and maintenance.
• Solving problems and application support issues.
• Working closely with Product Management and key stakeholders to prioritize multiple requirements at a time.
• Be responsible for technical analysis and producing documentation.

This offer will be a perfect match for you if you have:

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Team leading practice. 
• Willingness to work from the office (one day per week or once a month for a few days).
• Expertise in Python (Ideally on Linux/AWS Lambda Containers).
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs. 
• Good database and SQL experience (Ideally some Lakehouse exposure). 
• Practice with AWS Components (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SNS, SQS). 

It would be nice if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
