We are searching for an Angular software engineer with design system knowledge
This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland and you will join our OpenUI Platform Department. The team is responsible for creating and maintaining “OpenUI Platform” which is core Frontend tool enabling other development teams to create cross-platform business features for Netbank (web) and Mobile Bank (iOS & Android).
The role offers a chance to work with core components, tools, processes, design system and development guidance for all teams working on client-facing solutions. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Sebastian Gos.
Primary task and responsibilities include:
- You will be main responsible for BEC Design System codebase (SPOC)
- Together with UX Designers you will be designing, developing, and maintaining BEC Design System
- You will develop & maintain cross-platform technical enablers (no business features development)
- You will drive architectural changes and create standards around front-end development for client-facing solutions
- You will be responsible for the whole development lifecycle: from technical analysis of stories and bugs, technical design, to development, dev testing and release
- You will apply DevOps culture into your daily work looking for process improvements and driving it’s implementation
To succeed you will have:
- 5+ experience in Front end development
- 3+ experience in Angular 2+ (preferably latest versions) on complex applications
- Experience in developing and maintaining design systems with Storybook
- Experience creating scalable and reusable Angular components that follow best practices in architecture, performance, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Experience with Google Material Design
- Experience building cross-platform apps (responsive web design, mobile-first)
- Experience collaborating with UX design teams in verifying and optimizing designs
- Naturally curious, being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high-quality code
- Proactive and a good team-player with focus on helping each other
It’s nice-to-have:
- Experience working with micro frontends or hybrid apps architecture
- Experience with UX design or UI graphic design
- Experience testing accessibility
- Experience mentoring & knowledge sharing
