ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer proficient in GCP, DBT, and Airflow. This role is essential for developing and scaling executive-level dashboards and deriving data-driven insights through Looker. The ideal consultant will have hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing Looker models, mentoring junior engineers, and utilizing Looker Studio for advanced reporting solutions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain LookML models and derived tables for a scalable data layer.
• Optimize query performance and ensure data integrity in collaboration with data engineers.
• Create executive-level dashboards with seamless BigQuery integration.
• Develop interactive reporting solutions for business users.
• Mentor junior data visualization engineers and promote data governance best practices.
• Implement access controls and documentation for Looker and Looker Studio.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in Looker development focusing on LookML and dashboarding.
• Hands-on experience with Looker Studio, data blending, and visualization techniques.
• Strong SQL proficiency, particularly in BigQuery.
• Demonstrated ability in LookML performance optimization.
• Experience with Git/GitHub for version controlling LookML.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and practices.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for LookML deployment.
• Familiarity with DBT and advanced data engineering practices.
• Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
