Senior Server Support Specialist

GENERAL INFORMATION:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The main aim of the project is to improve server support. You will get the chance to work in a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants to drive Client’s servers support. In this position you will be collaborating closely with Server Engineering (governance, security, architecture and design) team running projects & defining infrastructure’s future and the external company doing most of daily support operation work from India.

You will focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, resource optimization (people's work, servers, licenses, etc.), improving support for other teams doing IT operation and development.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing at least a few hundreds of Windows, / Linux or VMware/Azure servers,

• Experience in management tools like SCCM or RedHat Satellite

• Understanding of Azure technologies or VMware virtualization operations and governance with a focus on automation, analysis, modification and testing of virtual/cloud services

• Design, build, implement and maintain automation in order to optimize virtualization platform spend, identify and remediate security risks and safeguard compliance across cloud platform.

• Identifies, verifies and remediates inconsistent configurations,

• Management and monitoring tools for the above technologies,

• Skilled at daily servers management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.),

• Skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.),

• Having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2,

• Experienced with working for a financial institution.
